In all my 20 plus years of being on staff at FHC's, I have never heard of a
director saying anyone would be let go if... for anything. Hmmm.
I went to the help section at the registration point on www.familysearch.org
and it does state there that staff should not allow anyone, even members, go
to the new IGI site unless they are using their own access. There are
elderly or handicapped people who need all the help they can get and are
unable to handle such a process alone but want to see if work has been done.
Perhaps we can help them get the info they need from the clerk and then do
the registration process with them. Then they can "look over our shoulder"
as we check for them. That should work. smile.
One reason for the new policy, I would suppose, is that non-members will feel
we are giving members special treatment if we allow LDS patrons to use STAFF
access info. but not them.
Blessings to you all as we press forward in this great work!
Suzie
