I was recently told that FHC have ancestry.com because the church gave them the 1880-81 or so census with the stipulation that the contents and info on ancesty.com would be free to FHCs. It is not easy to get the password if someone logs out of ancestry. Some FHC directors don't think it is wise to leave passwords laying around. I for one am thankful for the FHC and the use of ancestry.com. Invite all to go to the FHC to use the facilities.
