YES! You ALWAYS need to clear the cookies from that computer AFTER you log
out, so that when a patron pulls up the paid ancestry version icon, YOUR
sub doesn't come up!!
We do this when we log ON the computers when we open and when we close in
the evenings too, part of the ritual when in the FHC!

I had a problem with using my Ancestry.com subscription at the FHC where I
am a librarian and then when I went to log out it seemed to let me but
really did not. So if you were a patron and used computer #6 you would be
using my subscription free of charge if you happened to open Ancestry.com.
Realizing what was happening, I came home and changed my User Name and
Password which I believe would keep the subscription from being used at the
FHC.

My husband suggested that I try erasing cookies to see if this would help.
I have not been back to try that.

I sent an email to the director of the FHC letting her know what had
happened. She replied that there were other complaints about this
circumstance on an online FHC site.

Does anyone know what is causing the problem?

Now I do not plan to use my subscription when I am at the FHC which is
unfortunate.

Nancy
