I think I may have a theory--was your James Lee b. in VA? Was he possibly a
son of William Lee? Possibly was he a brother of Wm M Lee? At one time, did
he live in Butler Co., KY? I think I have deduced that William Lee b. 1777
in VA, m. Frances, and moved to Butler Co., KY--he died in 1815 or so. His
widow, Frances lived on the property on Big Muddy Creek--she paid taxes until
she died in ca. 1832, then James Lee sold his 1/5 share of property to Wm. M.
Lee, and he moved. Possibly, was this your James Lee? Do you see any
connection? Thanks,
