Thank you for the quick and surprising reply. I've worked on this for years but never got past the N.C.area problem of Jesse's parents. Do you have the spouse of his son,Joel Lee Born: Dec. 10, 1779 (Son of Jesse and Susannah). I also did note the Ingram and Blackman names and wondered if they were siblings from the same family, cousins, or etc.I have most of the spouses for the children of Jesse who were married but no family info other that birth dates. Thank you for the suggestions and I will start looking with sincerity in these suggested areas. I have just dug out the family sheets. Seems Jesse was married twice; There was a total of 15/16 children between the two marriages. Was your JOHN born July 8, 1801 in Sampson Co, N.C.? Jesse's first marriage was to Elizabeth "Betsy" Blackman 1767-1811 and she was the daughter of Joseph Blackman...Marie

What it does do is offer you perhaps an avenue for research. My John Lee
was married to Elizabeth Fenton in the 1785/6 timeframe, and had land
transactions in 1786 in Currituck Co, NC. The transactions list the couple
as being "of Beaufort Co, NC", although Elizabeth was living in Currituck in
1785. You might try looking in those counties for your Jesse...
Also, I have info on the children of Jesse - who they married, etc., but I
suspect that you already have this. Note the Ingram and Blackman names of
the spouses. Several other Lee families from NC married into the Ingram and
Blackman families. Might mean something; might not.

I'm hoping someone might be able to help me locate the names of the parents
of Jesse Lee B; Dec. 21, 1740 Robeson Co, N.C. D: Oct. 29,1831 Sampson Co,
N.C. married 1770 to Susannah Johnson 1753-1840 with ten children(Joel,
Ada,Benjamin,Elizabeth,Jesse,Susannah,Martha,Johnathan, Rosa, and James
married Mary Watson(had 8 children)....my line.)My Line left N.C. and
arrived in Utica, Ms. in the 1820s, and later moved to Crystal Springs, Ms.
after James death) Mary and James are buried in Utica, Ms. and their
daughter Adah "Lee" Cook is buried in Crystal Spring, Ms. as is their
daughter, Mary Elizabeth "Cook" Hennington.Any information on the N.C.
