Subject: The Elsworth Family of Leicester

John Elsworth (b. 1794 Northhampton-d.1871 Leicester) and his wife Ann Knight
(b. Church Brampton-d.1862 Leicester) brought the beginnings of their family
to Leicester in about 1827, they resided in Leicester until they died. They
had 6 children: Thomas (married Mary Wass in Leicester & resided in
Leicester); Elizabeth (married Henry A. Collier in Leicester); William
(married in Leicester to Eliza Clarke, but emigrated to the USA); Anne
(married in Belvoir Chapel in Leicester to Nathaniel Tapscott, emigrated to
the USA); Hannah; and Esther. Any information would be greatly appreciated
