Hi,

I am new to this list and would like say hello to everyone
who reads this message!

I have recently found a reference to the Penrose coat of
arms in the church of Lowesby. It would appear that an
Elizabeth de le Zouche of Lubbesthorpe married a John
Burdett. Their daughter Elizabeth married Richard Ashby.

Elizabeth de le Zouche carried the Penrose arms and I am
therefore making an assumption that her maiden name was
Penrose.

I am interested to hear if anyone has come accross the
name of Penrose in their research.
