Hi everyone.

Please forgive any duplication as I am sending this plea for help to all the
lists I subscribe to in the hope that someone will be able to help me.

Many people have very kindly sent me attachments with their e-mails but I have
a problem with some of them as they show up as MIM files and I just can't open
them.

I am on MS Windows 95, I have 2 internet accounts, AOL 4.0 and a freebie,
Free-Online. I use AOL's own browser to compose most of my off-line e-mail and
do the odd one on free-online via MS Outlook Express. Someone advised me to
ask for any attachments to be sent in "plain text ASCII" but even then, they
seem to come through as these wretched MIM jobbies.

How can I open them? What am I doing wrong? Is it the AOL set up that is
causing this?

I am fairly technically minded and usually manage to sort most things out, but
this has got me totally flummoxed!!!!!
