Dear Leicestershire Listers:

I am new to this list and am hoping to dig deeper into my family roots.
Available information is as follows: CHARLES CHRISTIE was born in Scotland in
1801. ANNE__________CHRISTIE was born in England on June 9, 1820. They were
married on Nov. 12, 1838 in Leicestershire. Both died in Alton, Illinois, USA.

This couple had at least one child, CHARLES CORNELIUS CHRISTIE, b. May 20,
1850. I am looking for the marriage record. Are Leicestershire marriage
records available online? If not, where may I write for a copy?

Do these Christies sound familiar to anyone on this list? Any information and
leads will be sincerely appreciated.
