Just for the record I have some ancestors that were involved in the trade of
Stonemason & were most likely involved with the quarry in Groby by Ratby. I
believe it operated from late 1890's to 1920's but I stand to be corrected
Perhaps those involved in doing research on the quarries can shed more light
on this ??
The people in my line were Arthur Jordan & wife Hannah nee Moore. And I do
not know a great deal about them just yet.
