Thank you. But if I specify a birth in Warwickshire England I can't see why
I am offered a birth in Maryland USA as the first item and then Warwickshire
births further down the page. I shall persevere!

You'll get a much better response by choosing which database to search
first, then using the search form. A full list of the databases can be
found under by selecting the relevant geographical area from the list below
the home page search form.

By clicking on the "All Record Collections" link, you'll get a full list of
all the databases and collections including the date upon which they were
added or updated.

It's also very important to realise that many of the new additions are not
indexed as they consist of the digital photographs of the original records.
In other words you no longer have to wait for a new microfilm to be listed
in the LDS catalogue and then order it into your local LDS library.

An example of this are the new collections for Norfolk which were added on
the 18th and 19th of January. These Norfolk collections include:
Archdeacons Transcripts 1600-1812
Bishops Transcripts 1685-1941
Marriage Bonds 1557-1915
Monumental Inscriptions 1600-1900s
Non-Conformist Records 1613-1901
Poor Law Union Records 1796-1900
Register of Electors 1844-1952

Non of these will show up if you just use the search form as they haven't
been indexed, but you can browse the images of the collections. The above
Marriage Bond collection alone consists of 147,514 images! Would you prefer
to wait for it to be indexed before it's made available on-line?

There have already been four new additions of updates for February, two of
them for England.

By regularly checking the "All Record Collections" and then searching by
using Control + F you can very quickly see which new databases have been
added or updated, allowing you to decide if they are relevant to your
research and worth searching.

Well I thought it was just me. I search for records and specify the
English
county and the top item on the search is am American record . Rather
bizarre.
