With all this discussion re the problems
of finding people on the various sites
here's my problem.

Catherine and William Jelley disappeared
after 1847. William died before 1866 and
Catherine reappeared in the workhouse in
1871 as a widow. I have searched for
full names, christian names and
variations but I can't find them.

Catherine JELLEY/JELLY b 1818 Market
Harborough. William JELLEY/JELLY
b1810?? labourer/boatman. Catherine had
a son Edward SHARMAN b 1841 who is also
missing in 1851 but reappears in 1861.
They seem to have avoided both census'
and my only idea is that they were on a
canalboat somewhere.
