If the gateway is not open to the message board I enjoy I use the
ADD TO NOTIFICATIONS link, so I then receive a daily email of all
board posts I use. This way I know when new messages are posted to
each board I use, and don't need to check everyday for messages on
slow boards.

If the gateway is open I don't use the notifications service, but just
get my posts from the list.
