Hi,

After I sent my last message to the list, I became concerned that maybe the
majority of the message was improper, since it was specifically genealogy
related. Since then, I tried to find a list of rules about what may be posted
to this list. I have always thought, post were limited to genealogy related or
research related material. I have found no such rule. In the "Acceptable Use
Policy (AUP)" it states "RootsWeb exists to allow you to interact with other
people who share your interests." It has some other general rules, but nothing
specifically limiting the content of a message except "Post only the material
you own." I don't have a habit of posting the content of someone else's
messages and pretending that I wrote it, so I don't have to worry about that
rule. Does anyone know of another place where RootsWeb has list rules posted,
other than the AUP at http://www.rootsweb.com/rootsweb/aup.html ?

The AUP is written in basic English (not like a contract or users agreement), if
anyone is interested in reading it.
