You People are right, this is a genealogy List, but I kept thinking how I
have a cousin name Michael Lewis and a cousin name Lonnie Lewis and neither
one of you are either of them, and how they are brothers.......but half
brother, and how both of them are living, not deceased like Our Ancestor we
Seek, and how both of them are African American and not Caucasian like you
two (smile), and I was Awed at how parallel things can be at times, you know
running in the same direction at the same time, so similar and yet still not
be the same.
SO LIST ADMINISTRATOR PLEASE FORGIVE ME FOR BREAKING THE RULES TOO,
BUT....... since someone opened the can of worms and instead of "Love and
Peace old Hate and Discord came Spewing Out," among BROTHERS like in the
Civil War Days but with one exception in those days my black lips wouldn't be
talking until after the fight/war was over between the Brothers. Somebody is
right History is Being Made Every Day and is Tomorrow's Genealogy in the
Making. A NATIONALLY PUBLISHED LONNIE LEWIS LETTER TODAY IS SOMEBODY'S
GENEALOGY TOMORROW AND SO ARE ALL OF OUR RESPONSES!
I guess I was AWED to find myself among brothers and sisters who claim to be
"FIGHTING OR NOT FIGHTING OUT OF A LOVE FOR PEACE."
Might I offer these words in the "SPIRIT OF PEACE" we all claim to represent?
Who knows maybe if I had of been their Cain would not have killed Abel! I
say there is more than one way to "wage a war," and you better not dare
disagree with me! THERE IS MORE THAN ONE WAY TO WAGE A WAR, and when we
DELIBERATELY Offend, and Hurt Others, with our Opinions even those we may
consider as "the least of these my brethren," which can also mean, less than
us, not as good as us, different from us, or downright morally degenerate
such as killers. WE HAVE DONE WRONG! The Tongue is a "Terrible Little
Family Member " who has Hurt and Slayed as many innocent, and yes not so
innocent people as any WAR. "SOME THINGS" really are "BEST" left unsaid when
they are not offered in the "SPIRIT OF LOVE AND PEACE AND HEALING."
Yes, I too believe there is always Room For Truth, because Truth is Healing,
it can set People Free even from there "wrong doings " not just CONDEMN THEM.
BUT I heard no love or peace in your "Pacificism/Pacifism" and therefore it
could easily be interpreted as hate! I guess I believe that we must practice
love for all people, even those who we believe to be wrong, or who we know to
be different. "Pacifism without love is Religiosity !" you know why?
BECAUSE LOVE WILL LAY DOWN IT'S LIFE FOR YOU! "GREATER LOVE HAS NO MAN THAN
HE WILL LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR A FRIEND"! LOVE WILL FIGHT FOR YOU AND YES
LOVE WILL DIE FOR YOU TOO! GUESS WHAT "SOMEBODY ALREADY DIED FOR YOU, so as
it stands don't be shocked if SOMEONE'S DIED FOR YOU TODAY TOO!"
A true Pacifist is willing to make peace, to live in peace, to turn the other
cheek and not just talk about it! But you DEAR MICHAEL were as war like in
your declaration as any soldier! I personally don't have it all together, I
get mad as H-E-L-L sometimes, and like you I probably would like to call it
righteous indignation!
Michael, In truth I was struck by your willingness to wound others in the
name of peace, although I understood where you were coming from. But are you
really any different because you have no gun? Go back and read your words,
there was no forgiveness, love or healing for others in them. Ah, the tone
in which you spoke of your family traditions such reverence for them such
mixed with such disdain for the traditions and beliefs for the family or
others. We were all wanting to admire them for we too hold family traditions
dear, but you must know they were paid for with a price, they were not
accomplished in a vacuum, on an island! Your family did these things, but
where is your donation to peace, where is your personal sacrifice to the
preservation of life. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO IMPROVE THE LIVE OF OTHERS? OH
BOY DON'T WE ALL LIKE TO STAND ON A SOAP BOX!
"THE THING THAT HATH BEEN, IT IS THAT WHICH SHALL BE; AND THAT WHICH IS DONE,
IS THAT WHICH SHALL BE DONE; AND THERE IS NO NEW THING UNDER THE SUN."

1. To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the
heaven:
2. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to
pluck up that which is planted;
3. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to
build up;
4. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to

to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

"My Brother" you think some people are warriors and others are not, some
killers and others are not, some peacemakers and others are not? We all hate
war but the truth is most of us have never known Peace, and wouldn't know
what to do with it if it was given to us on a silver platter. We would find
something to bicker over like we did here at this genealogy list today.
So Michael you have not killed, nor any of your generations before you, and
after you are gone, it is your desire to be remembered for something. Well,
since every one must die, righteous or not, than you can have those words set
aside for your epitaph, and the minister can say it over your casket, if you
pay in advance since you have no children then they will, put it own your
tombstone for all to see but will you be any less dead?
You see you may not have killed, but haven't you did anything else wrong? "
Let him without sin cast the first stone." Really I'm not trying to threw
any rocks at you are anyone else, but please remember "when or if " you try
to minister to others you must mix your truth with love and yes, compassion
for others. What I am trying to share with you is this fact, there is "war
waged every day" in the name of PEACE, but you must watch who and how you
fight! Michael please don't kill anybody with your tongue! We are your
brothers and sisters, right or wrong, like it or not, AND be careful lest you
become like CAIN, and when God ask you about us find yourself saying " AM
I MY BROTHERS KEEPER?"
Well, ARE YOU Michael ? Your brothers keeper, I Mean?
