My Brick Wall is DANIEL LWIS b 1808 Nc d aft 1880 in Missouri(possibley
Franklin Co. Daniel was m 2 time that I know of, 1st m to MATILDA WOOD b
Tn abt 1814 (parents we're Wm Wood & Jane Henderson of TN- 2nd to MATILDA
SKAGGS sometome aft 1860 in Mo (parents we're David Skaggs Bb Ky & Mary
Pruitt b Ga . His first m he had 5 children> William 1847 b mo , then JASPER
NEWTON b 1852 Ark, LAWRENCE b 1853/54 Ark,LORENE OR LAVINA b 1855 Ark,
MARY A. b 1860 Ark. Daniel & Matilda we're in Washington Co Arkansas from
1850, then DANIEL left Ark 1860 or 1861 for Mo. He ended up with MATILDA
SKAGG and had 3 other children> Housto Grant b 27 Aug 1868 Prairie tsp
Franklin Co,Mo, Sherman J b Oct 1872 Franklin Co,Mo, Avie b abt 1878
Franklin Co,Mo.
We have census for 1850 & 1880 , for 1850 it states that Daniel parents
Father b Nc Mother b Ma and he was a wagon maker, for 1880 Prairie tsp
Franklin Co it states that he was a whiskey maker & farmer and parents same
as 1850. I have a picture for # 2 Matilda grave in Franklin Co, but have NOT
been able to locate Daniel at all. As for Matilda #1 she also has not been
found. I believe she stayed in Arkansas til her mother passed away unknown
date and then she returned back to Missouri as for census 1870 in Jefferson
Co (Big River Tsp).
Is there anyone that can help us with my brick wall? If not for Daniel and
his marriages how about the children specially LAWRENSE LEWIS & what happen
to him?
Any help would be great and willing to share what I have on the rest of this
group. Other names that are in this family line are>
