Does any of the following look familiar? I have a perfect 67 marker DNA match and this is his line of the Lewis Family who connect to the Dunn side by John Lewis and Emeline Dunn as you can see from the deed I have included.

David was a minister who had worked for Nancy's father. David built a grist mill, run by a water wheel, on Crane Creek in Stone County, Missouri. He also had a distillery, where he used surplus corn, rye and barley to make liquor, which he sold for 25 cents a gallon. His eldest son, George Washington Lewis, ran the distillery.

Iron County, Missouri Deeds

This Indenture made and entered this thirtieth day of March in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fifty eight by and between John Lewis and Emiline his wife of the County of Iron and State of Missouri of the first part and Joseph Bollinger of the County of Madison and State aforesaid of the second part Witnesseth That the said party of the first for and in consideration of the sum of Forty five dollars to them fully paid by the said party of the second part (the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged) have granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these present do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Joseph Bollinger the following mentioned and described tracts or parcels of land situate lying and being in the County of Iron to wit: the North west quarter of the South west quarter of Section twenty eight the East half of the South East quarter of Section twenty nine and the North half of the North east quarter of Section thirty two and Township thirty two Nor!
th of range two East containing one hundred and ninety five acres and forty six hundredths of an acres and are the same tracts of land purchased of the United States at the land office in Jackson Missouri as appears by Letters Patent dated June the 16th 1856 and signed by Franklin Pierce President
To Have and To Hold the said bargained and assigned premises together with all the privileges and advantages their to belonging unto him the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns in fee simple forever and the said party of the first part hereby covenant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that we will warrant and forever defend the title to the said mentioned lands and appurtenances against the claims of all persons whatsoever.
In testimony whereof we the said party of the first part have hereunto subscribed our names and affixed our seals this day and year first aforesaid

This Deed made and ordered into this 18th day of October eighteen hundred and fifty six by and between John Lewis and Emaline Lewis wife of said John Lewis of the County of Madison State of Missouri parties of the first part, and John Lair of Madison County and State of Missouri party of the first part
Witnesseth That the said parties of the first part in consideration of Ten Dollars to them paid by the said party of the second part the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged do by these present Grant, Bargain, sell convey and make over unto the said party of the second part the following tract parcel of Lot of land to wit it being and lying in the County and State aforesaid and being a part of the South East quarter of South East quarter of Thirty four Township 32 North of Range three East beginning at the south East corner of said tract and running west (15) fifteen rods, to a Stake thence North 80 Eighty rods to the north line of said tract to a Stake and Stone thence East - (15) fifteen rods to the section line thence south along said line to the first mentioned corner containing (7) acres more or less
To have and to hold the sum together with all the rights immunities privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging unto the said party of the second part and to their heirs and assigns forever the said John Lewis and Emaline Lewis hereby covenanting that they and their heirs and executors and Administrators Shall and Will Warrant and Defend the title to the premises to the said party of the second part and to them their heirs and assigns forever againste the lawful claims of all persons. In witness whereof the said party f the first part have hereunto set in hands and seals the day and year first above written
