My grandfather was Gustaf Emil Lindquist. He was a musician, and played the drums and a member of the Colorado Midland Band. He was born in Eksjo, Sweden Sept 24,1877. He was naturalized in Chicago Feb. 6,1902. He had brothers named Ed and George. His father's name is said to be Carl or Charles Ludwig Lindquist. His mother's name is said to be Marie. She died in Sweden. He also had at least 1 sister who married and had a male child by 1918. He married my grandmother Mary Madeline Hiestand in about 1922. It was his second marriage. He married first an Albina in about 1902. He was living in Chicago on California street in 1900. By 1906 he is living in Colorado. 1920 he is in San Francisco, and 1923 he is in Reno, Nevada playing at the Realto Theater. He owned the GE Lindquist Manufacturing Co. which made sweeping compounds and instrument cleaners. He was in the 106th National Guard Infantry Band in 1924 in Los Angeles, Ca. He may have had another brother Carl Gustaf, b!
orn Oct 6, 1879 who later married a Betty and lived on Pensacola in Chicago. This last piece of information I found on the internet. Is there anyone who thinks they might be related? It is possible my grandfather had half brothers and sisters who were born in Chicago as well as the ones mentioned before. I found a 1900,1910 and 1920 family in the Chicago Census with the father listed as a Charles L. Lindquist and wife Emma and three children.
