Subject: [LITHUANIA-L] Census

I had tried to locate my husband's Grandparents on the Ellis Island web site with no luck. So I ordered the 1920 soundex of Chicago from my local Family History Center, and boy am I glad I did. I always assumed that my husband's Grandparent's became US citizens in Chicago because that is where they lived. It states on the census that they became US citizens in PA. We didn't even know that they lived in PA. So now that I know they did become citizens, I'm going to try to track down their naturalization papers. Does any one on the list know where I would have to go to try to find them? I will be in Chicago this summer. Can I get to the records for PA at the NARA in Chicago? Since I'm not sure of when they arrived, I'm not in the position to pay a lot of money for a search thru the US Justice Dept. It would help that I have the Naturalization number. By the way, some of the census have the Naturalization numbers of the head of the household. So if you are looking fo!
r info., try the census.
