David,

You seem to be very good with Lithuanian names. I am having trouble with Runkaitis. I have found several spellings on the limited papers that I have. I have found Rumkaila (unmarried Lithuanian female I think) and Rankaitis. To top it off, GGM had a first name of Petronella or would it be Petronela or maybe Petronella...all this makes my head spin. Can't seem to find anything relative through Ellis Island records. I even checked the first name as another roots emailer noted. Any ideas?

PS...how are you at Czech...Does the name Mikusinec and Masarek ring a bell...suppose to have been the first president of Czechoslovakia, I have found him in the history books but have not been able to find records through Ellis Island. GM says she thought they used and alias to avoid prosecution leaving the country. ???
