-aite is the unmarried female suffix. Vanagas et. al. (1989) found 0
Starinkas, but they did find 16 Starinskas. This would be a lithuanianized
spelling of the Polish locational surname Starynski. The toponymic root
would be the Polish _stary_ "old."

Arms Doliwa, recorded circa 1550; nobility confirmations: 1782, 1783, 1787,
1825; from Podolia &c.

Arms Doliwa, recorded corca 1490; a member of which family confirmed
nobility in 1799; from Starynki in the district of Minsk. A christianized
Tartar family.
