Dear Katherine,
I am sitting here in shock and disbelief and extreme sadness as I've just
read your e-mail about the death of my cousin, Leo Little. My name is Jane
Little McEndree and I've corresponded with Leo for years in search of our
Little's and then in the summer of 2003, I had my Dad's DNA tested and it
was a perfect match to Leo's and we found out that we were cousins after
all. I am also a descendant of another set of Little's through my paternal
grandmother and for a long time we thought that we might be related through
those Little's but as it turns out we were related through my grandfather's
Little's. Leo has helped me so much through the years with our Little's and
we have worked together so much but he has also helped me on some of my
other families DNA's. This is particularly hard for me because I just lost
both of my parents in just less than a month of each other. Daddy is Dorman
Little whose DNA I had tested and he and Leo matched. Leo has done a
composite of Little pictures several years ago with him and my Daddy and
others who are DNA cousins to see if we looked alike or resembled each
other. Another DNA cousin to us is Mike Little. I think we found about 13 or
14 matches in all after Daddy was tested. Please write me back and let me
know about Leo's death when you find out anything. I'd like to know what he
died from and exactly when he died and where he will be buried.

Thank you so much for letting us all know about this very shocking and sad
news. I wish that it could have been a mistake. I just can't believe it. How
old was Leo? I don't think he was all that old. My Daddy died from a car
wreck and he was eighty six and a half years old and my mother died from an
abscessed tooth, of all things, and both were very sudden. Mother was buried
on Dec. 22, 2007 and Daddy on Jan. 22, 2008. I am still in shock over their
deaths but now to hear about Leo really is upsetting to me also.

A friend also called and spoke with his wife and she said that she would try
to answer e-mails
when she could. Its very difficult for her and she's probably in shock so
that may be why you
haven't been notified. A memorial service may be forthcoming and I will
post anything as I hear
about it.
