Hi Cousins
Years ago I was searching for my Lock(e)'s in Lamar County Texas but had
never found one piece of evidence that they had ever lived there but was
going on the word of a distant Cousin of mine who claimed our family had
lived in Paris Texas in the 1850's . After 5 years of research and not
finding anything to prove my family had lived in Lamar County Tx , I gave up
.

Today I recieved a CSA Widows Pension file on Francis Annie Lock who was
married to Edward R. Brewer . In the Pension application it clearly states
that
Frances Annie Lock was married to Edward R. Brewer in Paris Texas in April
1856 , ( April 30th 1856 to be exact ) so my search in Lamar County Texas
starts all over again from the start ! :)

I am searching for any information on the descendants of : George Francis
Lock .

Has anyone seen any type of documents for any Lock(e)'s in Lamar County Texas
around the years 1850-1860 ?
I have already looked at the 1850 and 1860 Lamar County Texas Census and my
Lock(e)'s are not listed as they were living in McCracken County Kentucky in
1850 and in Collin County Texas in 1860 , so if they actually lived in Lamar
County Texas it wasn't for very long before moving on .

Is it possible that there is a marriage record for Edward R. Brewer and
Frances Annie Lock in Lamar County Texas in 1856 ? To date , the oldest
Marriage Record I have found available in Texas was dating back to 1864 in
Cooke County Texas and I was pretty shocked that one even existed back that
far ! :)
