Greetings
If you have ever wondered what sort of crimes were committed in the 1920s
and how much the paid the following may be of use, a ledger of the arrests
and fines made by Arthur Henry SMITH, a London PC, serving with 'The Met'
from 1908 to 1934. He retired as an Inspector, having
amassed nearly £3500 in fines in his 26 years on the force.
