I desperately need help with my grandfather!
William HUNT was born c1873 in the Poplar area.
His father, William REMUS HUNT, is said to have committed suicide some time,
possibly years, after the birth of my grandad.
Grandad was blind.
It is said that grandad was a bit of a tearaway, and spent some time aboard a
ship that young tearaways were sent to, similar to a Borstal, was that the
EXMOUTH?, if not does anyone know the name of the ship?
He had six children by my gran Ellen Harriet HUNT nee BENNETT.
Grandad was widowed in 1947, he remarried when he was in his 90's and died
aged about 93-95.
I have no B.C, or D.C, only his M.C and would dearly love to get a bit further
with this side of my family.
Does anyone recognise this character?
My difficulty is that William Hunt is SUCH a common name, and I've spent a
fortune on getting all the wrong certs.
Hoping,
Barbara
