>> Please can somebody help me before my nerves finally give out. I am
desperately seeking Edward William James WARDELL/LE in situ with his
parents on a census. He was born at Little North Street, Marylebone, in
1864 the son of William and Harriet nee Brown. I waited for a year for
the MID 1881 to come out only to find he is not on it anywhere. I have
tried all other counties including Scotland. The 1861 census for Little
North Street was eaten by rats whilst languishing in the House of
Lords. Just my luck! The thought of ploughing through the 1871 is
rathermind blowing and there doesn't seem to be any record of his
marriage to Emma Peters or the marriage of his parents. Despite knowing
heaps about his later life I cannot find his ancestry. Save my children
from a life spent watching Mum pour over indexes and listening to me
muttering Wardle in my sleep and keep an eye out for me. Please! <<
Perhaps if you list the details that you do know about the family it may
help us to give you some suggestions.
