The website run by David Squire deals with licences issued from 1694
onwards. The site says (paraphrased) that indexes to licences issued proir
to that date have already been published.

I'm looking for a licence issued for a marriage in 1676, to Thomas GOWERS
and Mary ADKINS who married in Great Baddow, Essex. Where do I find the
"already published index" that will list this licence and any details about
the happy couple? Is it, too, on the net somewhere? Or book form?
