Unfortunately, this church (also known as St Mary Matfellon), suffered
extensively from bombing damage during World War II (December 1940) and was
subsequently demolished. It originally stood in Whitechapel High Street. If
you require information from the Registers, they are deposited with the London
Metropolitan Archives, under Ref P93/MRY1 Coverage:
Baptisms: 1558-1940
Baptisms solemnized at the London Hospital (nearby) 1847-1864
Marrs: 1558-1940
Burialsa 1558-1857.
The parish was united with St Jude Commercial Street, Whitechapel, in 1923,
and subsequently dividedand united with other local parishes ie, St Paul Dock
Street, St Philip Newark St and Christ Church Spitalfields.
Best wishes
