Hello Everyone,
Am I the only one who dreads asking a question ( almost any question)
because I always feel as if it's a really "dumb" question to ask? Well, I
don't like to waste my time and I figure this will save me a lot so...........
I want to search for my grandparents marriage certificate at my local LDS
family history center but I'm unsure what parish records I need to search.
This is the information I have.
My grandmother's family lived at "5 Calvary Street, N. Kensington, London".
I cannot find Calvary Street and an inquiry to this list was not
conclusive. Suggestions were that perhaps it was "Calverly Street" in what
is now known as Notting Hill (in the 1880's would have been N. Kensington I
have been told).
My father was born at Queen Charlottes Hospital and my grandmother listed
as her address on the birth certificate "49 College Street, Highbury".
Apparently, my grandmother and grandfather were not married at the time of
my father's birth as their is no father listed on the birth certificate. I
have been told that Queen Charlottes Hospital is located in the Marylebone
area.
So given these locations what would be the logical parishes to check?
Thanks as always for everyone's assistance.
