I have been trying to research my Uncommon Name for the past 20 years
WOODNEY, it does appear in the London area, from 1690 to 1800, but
then disappears, and I can't get a connection anyway. anywhere.
I am looking for my Great Grandfather Christopher WOODNEY born 1823,
where I don't really know, left for Australia in 1854 on "Constance"
and came on to New Zealand. he should have been called Jones111
would have been easier to find111
Any clues anyone? many thanks.
Shirley from Sunny warm New Zealand
