Further to my earlier posting I have had a long discussion about this church
with my neighbour the vicar. This is what he tells me.

The Parish is St. Mary's of Islington. It is a famous parish.
It is possible that they have refused to let the mormons have their records.

The current vicar is George Claydon who lives at the Vicarage, Upper Street.
He has been there since 1981. he is a prebendary of St. Pauls Cathedral.

Archbishop George Carey was a curate there in the 60's.
David Bishop who was a sometimes controversial bishop of Liverpool also has
a connection with the church but I can't read my notes.

My neighbours sister used to worship at the church.

I have the vicars phone number which I will supply privately on the
understanding that it is not passed on without my prior permission.

Hope all this helps.

Hope its interesting to all others reading it.
