Hi Louise,
My father was a Barnardo boy raised in the Foundling Hospital in London.
Miss Macpherson and Maria Rye are both discussed in the following site which
contains the best and most thorough information I've found about the
Immigrant Children.

Canadian National Archives provided me with part of the passenger list of
the Melita 2 which brought my father to Canada. They have a very useful
Geneology site.

I have been surprised by the information I found which was not at all what I
believed to be true. And the new information led me to my father's family.

Good Luck
