Public Record Office references to the surname BIRD on the 1851 census
HO107 refers to the 1851 census
1493 the folio number
65 the page number
"r" & "v" the side of the page. (recto & verso)
You can get the information from census films at the FRC or you can view
them at a LDS Family History Centre. At the later you will most likely need
to order in the microfilms.
