Hi Deirdre,

Not sure if anyone else has replied to you I am just reading a backlog of
messages. Since Henry Liddell was the Dean of Christ Church, Oxford, I
think probably the College would be a good place for you to start, I'm sure
they'd have records in their archives about him. There might even be some
details on their website (I haven't looked but there will certainly be
details about Alice). If you have a look at the Ox. Univ site on
www.ox.ac.uk - and then look under Colleges and Halls you will find Christ
Church. Chris Church is both an Oxford College and the Oxford Cathedral
and is just referred to as Christ Church, it doesn't have College tacked on
the end.

I'm not sure if their archivist is available on email - I suggest you email
the librarian () they will point you in the right
direction. Hope that helps.
