There was a Royal Mint Street in the parishes of St Mark, Goodman Square,
Whitechapel and it also ran into the parish of St Paul, Dock Street,
Whitechapel. It linked Minories to Cable Street and is still there today.
My 1850s map shows an unmarked square - which I suppose could be the one you
are looking for.
The street numbering in your email seems rather high for a square.
