Hi Pat,
I'm not sure but I think it was on the YORKSGEN list that someone put all
the info from the 1851 2% sample into a database. Which meant you didn't
have to open up individual files to locate your surname interests.
Might be worth checking YORKSGEN to get a copy. I seem to remember that it
was available in both zipped & unzipped versions.
