Hi Eve :

Thanks for your message re : Thomas RADDON. This one is a bit of a
puzzle
as I know that Thomas & Hannah RADDON livedf on the Isle o Wight after
their
marriage. I have only just found the date and place of their marriage
on the FHS on the
net. Why they married in St.Dunstans West I have no idea as Hannah came
from
Whippingham on the Island !! Unless it was a runaway marriage !!

I haven't been able to find Thomas RADDON'S birth details and
unfortunately he
died in 1841 leaving her with two children and one which was born some
time later.
His death was before the 1841 census which I have checked. So far I
haven't seen
the 1831 census - I'm not even sure if there was one for the Island.

I have found one Thomas RADDON via the FHS on the net that was born in
the same year
as my Thomas. He was born in Devonshire. So I don't know whether it
is my ancestor
or not. I was hoping that maybe the marriage details might help but you
quite right
in saying that it will state his current parish of residence which
looks like it might have
been St.Dunstans in the West.

Once again thanks and any help will be really appreciated.

Jean in B.C.
