You haven't said which parish it is in, but I've found the only Tavistock
Street in the Bethnal Green R.D. in "Genealogical Gazetteer of Mid-Victorian
London" in St Matthew's parish, St Matthew's Row, Bethnal Green.
In the 1872 Alan Godfrey Map for Shoreditch it shows a Tavistock Street near
the Church, running North-South between Derbyshire Street and Sale Street,
almost opposite Ramsey Street. These roads are all still there (except
Tavistock Street), but they aren't complete anymore (I don't know if any old
buildings are still there).
These roads are all south of the current Bethnal Green Road (A1209) near
it's junction with Vallance Road (formerly White Street) (B180).
Hope this has been some help.
