Can anyone tell me how an estate was legally disposed of, if
someone died intestate in London in 1821, but with assets, and
with a wife and children --- some adult, some not. And if there
were legal procedures to be followed, was this routinely done,
or did families tend simply to sort things out privately?
Finally, where might these records be located --- the death
occurred in Holborn?
Thanks and regards. Delia Robertson.
