The baptism records really drop off after 1837 when civil registration
began, so you're probably into birth certificates now, which will give you
addresses and names of parents. I always use the birth certificates for the
address and try to find them on the closest census year (a hit and miss
affair), parents age and area of birth, then you can get more into the pre
1837 baptisms. Occasionally you can squeeze some later baptisms out, not
many tho. When I search the IGI I use the custom search because I've found
you have to be incredibly creative with your names and, just as often,
totally illogical. When looking at baptism records that include the actual
date of birth also, I've found the birth-date and baptism date can be w-a-y
off, which can really throw you into a tiz woz when you see their age on the
census. Like they say about reading detective novels, "withhold all
disbelief"!!! Sylvia in Seattle
