There are very many Wiliam MARTINs, for example, born within 5 years of
1873. [Two examples below].
You need to get hold of his marriage certificate, and that of
Thos.Hy.DAVI(E)S, which will give you their father's names, and hopefully
pinpoint them on the 1881 census,
