Hi Janet,
I was about to suggest the Golden Arrow and the Night Ferry to add to the
other suggestions, when I noticed you phrase "circa end of W.W.II".
AFAIK, all cross-channel services were suspended for the duration, and I am
not sure at what point after the cessation of hostilities normal services
were resumed.
