Hi Philippa,
The Vicar of Swallowfield until 1981 was the Revd. T.J.W.Morgan, he is now
84, retired and living in Llanelli.
Hi successor from 1981-1993, The Revd. J.G.Sumner, is now leading a
community in Glastonbury.
The current incimbent of Swallowfield is at The Vicarage, Swallowfield
Street, Swallowfield, Reading, Berks.
In mitigation, I believe the original deal with CROs was meant to be that
the registers would go to the C.R.O. for safekeeping, *in exchange for a
copy for the parish to keep* - in practice this seems to have rarely, if
ever, happened.
HTH
Cheers
John Henley
