I am trying to find birth and marriage records for my gggrandfather William GOODMAN and his wife Ann Sophia (maiden name unknown).

According to Census details, William was born about 1785 in London and Ann Sophia was born in Harefield, Middlesex about 1783. Neither of these births appears in the IGI and birth records for Harefield are not available on fiche/film through the LDS.

The estimated date of marriage is 1813/14, as the oldest child was born about 1814. All five children were christened in St Matthews Church, Bethnal Green between 1816 and 1831. These are the only records I have been able to find. Other details of marriages have proved difficult to trace through the various marriage indexes prior to 1837 or in GRO indexes for the children.

I have copies of the death certificates for both William and Ann Sophia, but they have provided no additional information.

I would appreciate any assistance or suggestions as to how I can access the birth records for Harefield or possible marriage details for William and Ann Sophia GOODMAN.
