Subject: [Lon] Abney Park Burial - Social Standing?
Date: Sun, 08 Oct 2000 16:56:16 +1300

My great Grandparents George Thomas and Ann REDWOOD, are buried in Abney
Park. One in 1890 and the other in 1922. They lived the greater part of
their life in Hoxton between 1870 and 1922, as did the members of the
other four branches of the family tree. None of these were buried there.

The question to which I should like an answer, is did burial in Abney
Park have any element of social or economic standing. Has anyone a view
on this.

Regards
David Broom
