I always the images to my hard disk (as jpeg or bmap) before trying to print
them because (a) my maps always run onto more than one sheet and (b) I can
then open the image in my scanner software which will Fit to Page whilst
maintaining the correct ratio.

If you want to print whilst online, however, click with your mouse on the
map itself. You should get a print command where you can select "print this
frame only" and then you don't get all the toolbars, etc.
