Hi Dellaina
I have a similar problem! my g.grandfathers name on his sons marriage cert. was Alfred Joseph, and on the birth certificate it was Abraham!
Maybe he changed his name? or was his nickname? my own father was baptised David but was known all his life a s Bob.

Subject:[Lon] Conflicting Names on Documents

Hi listers,

I have baptismal records of St Andrew Holborn Parish Registers (1819),
stating my GG Grandmother's father's name was THOMAS CHAMBERS. Her
sister's baptismal record says his name is Thomas Chambers. On her
Marriage document (1842), it states her father's name was ANDREW
CHAMBERS!

There is no similarity between Thomas and Andrew.

Does anyone know if one document is likely to be more correct than the
other? Does anyone have any ideas?

I look forward to any thoughts anyone might have.
