Subject: [Lon] British Vital Records Look-up - MOULANG
Date: Mon, 05 Mar 2001 19:53:36 +0200

To Diana Ford.

Hi Diana,

Thank you for your offer to do look-ups. I would very much like to know
if there are any MOULANG entries in the British Vital Records prior to 1871
in London (Middx). My family originally were French Huguenots (du Moulin)
who fled to Ireland (Dublin). Between 1871 and 1873 there were three
marriages in London (all born in Dublin) and this was followed by eleven
births in London between 1872 and 1885. I have all the details of these
events but feel there must have been earlier Moulangs who moved to London,
say between 1851 to 1871. I have the details of the 1881 and 1891 census.
It is the earlier period I need. The reason I only have the above
specific period is that an English Researcher only covered that period.
The three marriages were Daniel 1871, his brother Thomas Henry (my
grandfather) and William their Uncle both in 1873. The last of the eleven
births 1885 was that of my father.

Christian names to look for are Joseph, Henry, Thomas, Francis and of course
Daniel and William.

I assume the British Vital Records are indexed alphabetically by name of
person. If I am wrong and the above would be an impossible chore, dont
hesitate to say so. Forgive me, if in my ignorance of how these things
work, I am assuming too much.

Any help would be appreciated.
Irene Kiggen, Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
