Hello All,
Since I am newly resubscribed and cannot check the archives for an answer to
my question, I hope I am not going over a recent topic. Where should I look,
either online or not, for information about postal workers during the
1850-1880 period? The man I am looking for is John Bucknole listed in 1845
as a postman living at 10 Edward Street, Westminster, and then in 1881 as
retired from the post office living at 28 Carnaby Street, Westminster. A
second question I have is how affluent would these addresses have been
during that time period?
I will be in London in a few weeks and could possibly visit wherever these
records are kept if someone can point me in the right direction.Thank you
for any help.
