Hi all, I have an entry for my GGGrandfather on 1881 census. It shows him
and his wife,along with 2 children (here's the interesting bit) . The son has
the family surname but the daughter has her mother's maiden name. Entered in
the "rel to head" field are "Daur ((Gd))" and "Son ((Gd))" . Could someone
please explain the "Gd" ? Surely this isn't an indication of dubious goings
on ?????? TIA
